1. Download the latest Acer Wireless Ethernet Adapter driver for your computer's operating system. All downloads available on this website have been scanned by the latest anti-virus software and are guaranteed to be virus and malware-free.
2. Right click properties the driver show 'The device cannot start (Code 10). I had tried right click the driver to update and the response is 'The best driver software for your device is already installed'. Since the network card is working, I use the network cable to download some other driver to try which is not allowed by Windows 10.

please have a look in the device manager for your wifi card

right click the entry for this card then click properties

in this properties window click power management and untick 'turn off card to save power'

see if this helps ..

I've tried that already and it didn't help. However, I'm not looking for diagnostic assistance.

I'm looking for a specific recommendation of wireless cards that are certified as working with windows 10. If someone knows a specific wireless card that is certified for windows 10 and is installed on an Aspire and/or an Aspire 5749Z that would be ideal.

I am not asking about how to diagnose the problem. The problem is that my wireless card does not work consistently under windows 10 and the laptop maker is not providing a driver that works.

I would like to buy a new wireless card which works (has a windows 10 driver) to replace the wifi card that is not working.

I would like some assistance identifying currently available wireless cards which are certified to work with windows 10.

Since you work for Microsoft, can you point me to a list of Microsoft certified wifi cards with drivers which will work with windows 10. Even better would be a list of window s 10 certified wifi cards that work with an acer aspire or ideally an acer aspire 5749Z-4861
